Farewell Scene

Kre'oss awoke to a strange scene. The light in the Moghouse was very dim, being powered only by the small fire and dozens of tiny candles. In the center of the room was a large wooden tub, filled with steaming fragrant water, beside which stood a small table with tea and a light breakfast. Harold the moogle, thankfully, was nowhere to be found. Kohra heard Kre'oss stirring and met his confused expression with a smile. Kre'oss rose from the bed, putting on his dark glasses out of habit, despite the dim lighting, and looked back to Kohra. He was wondering how Kohra had managed to set all this up without waking him. It was clear the he was waiting for an explaination, as he remained silent.

Kohra spoke, a bit hesitantly. "I thought I'd see you off in style. A light breakfast while we relax in tub would be nice, don't you think?" He was not entirely sure Kre'oss would go along with this.

Kre'oss' face reddened, and he turned away, saying nothing, looking clearly embarrassed.

Kohra sat on the bed next to him, wrapping his arms around Kre'oss' shoulders. "Don't you trust me? I kept my promise to you last night. I just want to hold you." He said gently.

"Yes, I trust you but....I'll have to be naked." At this, he turned an even deeper shade of red.

Kohra chuckled softly. "Yes, people genrally get naked when they bathe. I'm sure you don't want to return home in sopping wet sheepskins." He said playfully.

Kre'oss said nothing, and continued to look down at his hands in his lap with determined concentration. He fiddled with the simple ring on his finger. Kohra took his hand, and laced their fingers together. "If you want, I'll close my eyes and you can get in first. There are lots of bubbles so I won't see a thing." He leaned forward, planting a gentle kiss on Kre'oss' lips.

"Ok." Kre'oss' voice was barely audible.

At this, Kohra made a big show of hiding his face in the pillows, while Kre'oss undressed and slipped into the tub. "Ok, I'm in." He signalled.

Kohra rolled over on his side, propped up on his elbow and gazed at Kre'oss with a gentle smile on his lips. Kre'oss turned red again, and his eyes flicked away. "What?"

"I love you." Said Kohra, sincerely. Kre'oss looked at Kohra again, holding his gaze steadily, and smiled slightly. Kohra removed his boots and pants as he approached the tub, slipping in behind Kre'oss. He ran his hands down Kre'oss' arms, entwined their fingers and crosed both their arms in front, hugging Kre'oss tenderly. "I'll always love you, never forget that, when you feel alone." Kre'oss sighed, and pressed his back into Kohra's chest.

They spent the next hour lounging together in the tub, feeding each other bits of pastries, sipping tea and saying very little, simply enjoying being so near to one another. Finally the water was getting cold, and they were getting all pruney, so they got out. Kohra first, and then he handed a towel to Kre'oss, politely turning his back. Not that it much mattered, since the bubbles were almost gone, and Kre'oss had not seemed to notice.

They dressed in silence, and finally when Kre'oss had everything, they made their way out towards the Maw in East Ronfaure.

Upon reaching it, they turned to each other, tears glistening in Kohra's eyes. Kre'oss was very subdued. "I don't want you to go." Kohra whispered, as if speaking normally would shatter something. "Or I wish I could come with you." He shook his head.

"We both know that cannot happen. And you must promise not to come looking for me."

Kohra nodded, unable to speak. Kre'oss leaned forward, kissing Kohra hestitantly, and Kohra crushed him to him, holding tightly as if afraid to let go. "Do not forget me. Through all these years, though the burden may be great. I would take your place if I could." He whispered fiercely, tears openly falling from his eyes.

"I know you would, and it comforts me. I could never forget you Kohra." Kre'oss gently pushed Kohra back, then turned and disappeared into the Maw.

Farewell my Kre'oss

Kre'oss,

There is so much I wish to say to you, but the words are simply not forthcoming. It breaks my heart to know that you are leaving, and I may very well have lost you forever. When you are near, I am calm, and my heart fills with love and joy when I look upon you. To watch you wake, and smile at me; to share a simple meal; to be in each other's company without the need for words. All these things may be gone forever, for both of us.

And yet I find myself not dwelling on this loss, but rather treasuring the time we had together. You have brought a change in me I didn't think possible. And for this I am forever in your debt, and will always love you.

I hope, that through these years you face without me, you think fondly of our time together, rather than feel the empty spot beside you where I might have been. I pray, that you allowed that connection I asked of you, to my soul, and my emotions. That you have that gift to carry with you always, to know that my love is sincere. And know that I will be here waiting for you, 20 years from where you are now, if you have need of me. Hold tight to that flicker of hope. I am here, as is my love; to give to you again, if you wish it.

My heart beats for you,
Kohra

(This letter was written on high quality parchment, and was slipped into Kre'oss' pack before he awoke on the morning he returned to the past. Enclosed with the letter is a simple sketch on parchment, of two hands entwined, fingers laced with each other. One is clearly Elvaan, the other could be hume.)

Seik confesses her love to Sparhawk!

And we get the one and only picture that will ever be seen of Seik without her clothes on.

Pics did happen, but were removed. Along with parts of my spine. And Kohra seems to have been painted yellow with lead paint in retaliation. But still available upon request!

Alby,
Looks like we screwed up big-time. Sparhawk tried to kill Joujou, Seik ran off crying, and in general things backfired as explosively as possible. Why did we think that plan was going to work, anyway? Staging a kidnapping to lure Sparhawk out, leaving him to find Seik bound, gagged, and skimpy in Joujou's room, and somehow expecting to get her to confess she loves him? Looking back at it, I'm starting to wonder if that last drink I had was stronger than I thought. Would probably also explain why I thought it was a good idea to stick her in that bikini I bought last month. You know, the black one.

On the plus side, it seems like Seik managed to tell him at some point. So it wasn't entirely a fuckup. And seeing her in a bikini was probably a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Love you always,
Ma

Wedding is today!

Hi everyone,

Reposting my post from last time to jog everyone's memory! Here's all the necessary info for the wedding. Hope to see you all there!

-------

Hi guys,

As most of you are by now aware, Mai and Alby are getting married, the official Square-Enix sanctioned way ^^ Of course, this means there's a lot of Do's and Don't's involved, so I'm posting them here for reference.

Date: 3/6/08, 5:00 P.M. EST (2:00 P.M. PST)

Location: East Sarutabaruta. Guests gather and wait at East Sarutabaruta (H-12). The Wedding Master will move Alby and Mai to the actual wedding site (which I'm guessing is instanced) an hour prior to the ceremony; Kermadec (our chaperone) will be guiding everyone as to where to wait, etc. We can have up to 36 guests, but I highly doubt we'll have more than 10 or so ^^;;

Etiquette: THIS IS IMPORTANT! Square-Enix will eat our firstborn if you guys don't follow this!

--Don't be late! I suggest getting there early, as people will likely be RPing through it ^^
--Don't move around much, they don't like that.
--Don't do unnecessary things like fighting mobs, summoning NPCs (no, Sparky can't come to the wedding, sorry Tsiife), casting spells, synthing, being disruptive, etc. etc. The WM prefers it to be quiet and will keep the ceremony moving! The entire ceremony doesn't last long, it's only like 10 minutes long, so please be on your best behavior ^^
--NO talking in /shout, or excessive emoting or /say.
--Girls, don't wear any opaline! I know this is an odd rule, but apparently it's out of respect for the bride ^^;; Not even the little flower headpieces, sorry

Attire: FESTIVE!

--No weapons, either in main or in sub, so no shields! Ranged or ammo pieces are okay since they're not visible. Remember, it's a wedding, you wouldn't go armed to a wedding!
--Linkpearls are okay, and I'd recommend the NBs go IC on LS for the ceremony, we can put extra emotes and /say stuff there so that it doesn't disrupt the ceremony :)

Schedule:

--An hour before the ceremony, Mai, Kerm, and Alby will be pulled into the instanced area to meet with the WM and chitchat about how things will go. The WM will take our fees and give Mai her wedding set, and both of us our rings. We'll also get fun stuff for our guests to hand out!
--We'll be able to see /say chitchat while we're in the meeting, but we won't be able to see you guys ^^;; I'm counting on Seik to keep everyone in the meeting area and hopefully ready to head into the instance when the WM gives the word.
--Kerm will help everyone to their seats, and once everyone is seated (I'm guessing in neat rows, SE likes this stuff remember!), there will be a wedding procession, and everyone be sure to watch our blushing bride approach the altar ^^
--At the end of the ceremony, we get to kiss ;P Then our guests can let all hell loose and the partay begins D: It seems to be traditional to pop your 2-hour and all JAs at this time (don't ask me, but I've seen it multiple times XD).

I know Mai and I are both really looking forward to this ^^ So let's show our best behavior and have a real roleplay wedding worthy of the Nightblades ^^
